Palate: Honey over baked oats, creme brulee, silky oak, leather,banana, cola, tobacco leaf, nutmeg, nouget. Very smooth.
Finish: Honey, smooth oak, butter, cashews, tobacco leaf, cola, maples syrup, balanced.
Last Word: A lovely affordable Yamazaki, this bottle is emptying fast..

Excited to see that yamazaki is releasing a 2016 sherry cask but not sure what their output will be towards an international market.
Im travelling to sydney in april/may and if at all you dont mind me asking, where do you get your japanese malts from in australia?
Im very interested in trying to get my hands on the sherry cask.

Australia is not the place to find much Japanese Whisky. My local liquor only has 4 in stock at the moment, the others have sold out. As for the Yamazaki Sherry Cask 2016 it is unlikely you will be able to buy it as they are usually all pre-ordered prior to release sorry to say.
